In both of the previous paragraph plans, we started our description by considering the shape of the house. Although this is not a label, it can be helpful to begin with an overview of the diagram as this allows us to talk about where the labeled parts are in relationship to the whole picture and to each other. In order to write about where things are in a diagram, you will need to use prepositions to describe place. Here are some common prepositions of place.
