Narration:

As we have seen, a good conclusion should use appropriate academic vocabulary and structure, should paraphrase the main arguments and often ends with a speculation or recommendation. One test of a good conclusion is that the reader should be able to read it and work out the question simply by what is written. Let’s look at an example conclusion we saw previously. We can tell that the general topic given in the question was about technology because of these words. We can also identify that the specific topic is likely to have referred to the impact of technology on modern communication because of these words. The writer has partially agreed, in that technology has allowed us to transfer information but has not necessarily made us more sociable. Therefore it is likely that the original question was Improvements in technology have allowed us to communicate more easily. To what extent do you agree?
