If we were simply giving an accurate description of the information, we could state that Expenditure by Japanese tourists amounted to 11 % of the total. However, in order demonstrate a range of vocabulary, we could also use constructions like Expenditure by Japanese tourists amounted to just over one tenth of the total. Here are a number of other constructions that we could also use. Now we will look at some other data on the pie chart. Let’s consider spending by Australian tourists. At 9%, we could use any of the following constructions.
