Now let’s look at the same graph using adverbs. One way of constructing the sentence is to use this pattern: a subject, a trend verb, an adverb of degree and a time scale. We already know that the subject is sales. We can also see that the trend increased. Now we need the adverb dramatically. The time scale is the same as the other graph from March to April. Again, it is important to remember that if we invert the sentence we must use the comma.
